Journal of Health and Pollution

The Journal of Health and Pollution (JH&P) is a semi annual on-line journal of peer reviewed research and news published by the Blacksmith Institute.  There is no cost to authors or readers.  JH&P aims to facilitate discussion of toxic pollution, impacts to human health and strategies for site remediation, focusing on poor and middle income countries.  JH&P invites scientists, researchers and engineers to submit manuscripts for publication based on the specifications in the "about" tab above.

The Blacksmith Institute is an international not-for-profit organization dedicated to solving life-threatening pollution issues in poor and middle income countries.  A global leader in this field, Blacksmith addresses a critical need to identify and clean up the world's worst polluted places.  Blacksmith focuses on places where human health, especially that of women and children, is most at risk.  Based in New York, Blacksmith works cooperatively in partnerships that include governments, the international community, NGOs and local agencies to design and implement innovative, low-cost solutions to save lives.  Blacksmith Institute was formed in 1999.
